On November 19, 2019, Hillside Oil Heating & Cooling became the first Delaware company to receive the BBB International Torch Award for Ethics, one of just four companies in North America honored by the Better Business Bureau Institute for Marketplace Trust. This award recognizes companies that demonstrate best practices, leadership, social responsibility, and high standards of organizational ethics.

Hillside’s BBB Accredited Business rating is an A+, reflecting our commitment to excellent customer interactions. BBB ratings are based on information about the business, including public complaints and data sources. Ratings range from A+ (highest) to F (lowest).

The Torch Awards for Ethics honor companies whose leaders demonstrate high personal character and ensure ethical practices that generate trust among employees, customers, and communities. This award aligns with the BBB’s mission to advance marketplace trust.
BBB Rush Memorial Award for Outstanding Family-Owned Business
On May 16, 2024, Hillside Oil Heating & Cooling received the 2024 Rush Memorial Award from the Better Business Bureau of Delaware. This award, named for Edward M. Rush, Sr., honors an outstanding family-owned and operated business that exemplifies community and civic service. The award was presented at the BBB of Delaware’s 59th Annual Awards Celebration on May 15th at DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, DE.
